Garfield Weston Foundation Grant
The Pennoyer's project has just received a fantastic £50K grant towards the capital project, from The Garfield Weston Foundation.
The Garfield Weston Foundation is one of the largest and most respected charitable institutions in the country, and is the ultimate controller of Associated British Foods. About 50 years ago, Garfield Weston, the creator of ABF established his charitable foundation by donating the family owned shares in the company. Today, the trustees are still descendents of the Weston family, and they make charitable donations in a wide range of fields, from Arts to Education, Community to Welfare and many more.
According to their website, it gives the trustees "as much pleasure to help a small local community as a major national organisation".
Believe us, it cuts boths ways: it gives this small local community charity huge pleasure to be the recipient of such a generous grant!
