The Café at The Pennoyer Centre opens Monday to Saturday, 9.30am - 3.30pm, serving light lunches, speciality teas & coffees, home-made cakes. Daily specials. Fully licensed. Free Wi-Fi.

'Arty' Film Night – Frida

Thursday 12th October, 7pm

This is the first of a series of ‘arty films’ which complements the talks by Tania Harrington on Women Artists currently running at The Pennoyer Centre. £10 per head, a glass of wine included. Booking advisable 

Halloween Trail & Kids Activities

Tuesday 31st October
4.30pm - 6.30pm

Enjoy a safe trick or treating trail with your children and return to the Pennoyer Centre for themed food & refreshments and free spooky activities. Free entry

Evening Inn 

Friday 3rd November
6.30pm – 11pm

Come to this popular monthly gathering and enjoy local real ale on tap, a wonderful selection of gin and spirits and our cocktail of the month. Along with coffee, wines, soft drinks and a full bar. All welcome. Free entry

Christmas Craft Fair

Saturday 4th November
10.30am – 3.00pm

This is a great opportunity to get your Christmas shopping started by buying some unique handcrafted gifts from local suppliers and artisans. The café, with licensed bar, will be open throughout, serving light lunches, homemade cakes and great coffee/tea available. Free entry.

Quiz Night

Friday 10th November
7pm for 7.30pm start

Popular quiz night with fish and chips. Hosted by regular participants ‘Eastenders’. Teams of up to 6 people. Fish and chips served in the interval. £9.50 per person with food, £4 without. Booking Essential.          

Film Night - Denial

Friday 17th November
7.15pm for 8pm start

Acclaimed writer and historian Deborah Lipstadt must fight to prove that the Holocaust actually happened when David Irving, a renowned denier, sues her for libel. Timothy Spall, Rachel Weisz and Tom Wilkinson give outstanding performances in this utterly gripping movie. Booking advisable. £5 in advance, £5.50 on the door.

Mixed Media Art Workshops

History of Art

The 7th Nov session will be about ‘People Power – A History of Portraiture’. The 21st Nov session will look at ‘Girl Power – A History of Women Artists’. No booking required. £8 per session.
