Tania Harrington is back with a series of 6 two hour talks about the development of art in America.
July’s talk is: Social Realism 1930’s and beyond
Social Realism prevailed throughout the Modern period in the States in both rural and metropolitan contexts. We look at artists such as Edward Hopper and Grant Wood who portrayed the loneliness and insecurity of life during and after the Great Depression.
