Trustees
The Pennoyer Centre is a registered charity overseen by a Board of Trustees, all of whom volunteer their time to ensure the Centre continues to prosper for future generations. The Board is responsible for the governance of the Pennoyer Centre and has overall accountability for the Centre’s strategic direction and delivery of its charitable objectives.
If you are interested in learning more about becoming a trustee, please email the Chair using the Centre’s contact form.
Anne Cleveland (Chair)
Since retiring, I moved to Pulham St Mary six years ago. The Pennoyer Centre has helped me meet new friends since moving to the area. Throughout my working life, I have had extensive experience of working with businesses, government agencies and charities at board level. I applied to become a trustee in 2016 and was subsequently appointed as Chair. My professional experience has afforded me the opportunity to give something back to the local community through my work at the Pennoyer Centre.
Kim Bryant
I became a Pennoyer Centre Trustee so I could become more involved in the Centre, which hugely benefits our village. As an independent HR Consultant with over 25 years of experience, I work behind the scenes helping with HR issues.
Outside of work my interests include my dog, music, collecting old Volkswagens, photography and camping.
Karin Carruthers
After graduating in Scientific & Technical Graphics, I have lived and worked successively in Manchester, Scotland and London. Now living in Norfolk, I run my Pulham-based design communications agency whilst also applying my talents to The Pennoyer Centre. I am involved in creating a strong brand for the Centre which includes everything from the website to creating exhibition panels and information leaflets.
Tim Hills
I am very much part of Pulham’s community, having lived in the area for the majority of my life. As an IT engineer I sort out IT issues in Norfolk schools.
I enjoy supporting the Pennoyer Centre by utilising my skills to help maintain their state-of- the-art IT systems and facilities.
As a keen swimmer I have competed in many competitive and charitable swims and on occasions, I can be spotted in the odd triathlon.
Kath Jones
My working experience has principally been in research and development management within the healthcare sector. I was a member of the Pennoyer Centre’s Board of Trustees from 2011 and Chair from 2014, stepping down in 2016. Taking early retirement in 2020 means I have been gifted with more free time and re-joined the Board as a fundraising specialist. I enjoy spending time dog walking and grooming, baking and driving a tractor for the Annual Pink Ladies’ Tractor Run for CRUK.
Sheila King
As an independent management consultant, I have worked with numerous organisations large and small. My involvement with The Pennoyer Centre began in 2006 when I developed the original feasibility survey. I then led the team that secured funding and managed the restoration project. I became Chair of the new Trustee Board until 2014, with specific focus on the heritage aspects of the Centre.
My interests include bird watching, gardening, cooking, wine, travel and of course, my family.
