B – Beer and Gin Festival
Come along and support this twice-yearly event to raise money for The Pennoyer Centre. You can help serve behind the bar, put up our promotional signs or just come along to try the range of beers and gins on offer.
C – Challenge Yourself
Have you always secretly wanted to skydive, are you bonkers about bungee jumping or considering taking part in a cycling or running event or giving something up? Ask your friends and family to motivate you to complete your challenge by pledging a donation. Take Inspiration from Karin’s Tough Mudder challenge and download your template sponsorship form!
D – Donations
Make a donation (regular or one-off) to support the Pennoyer Centre.
E – Exhibition
This could be an art, craft or photography exhibition. You could ask people to donate a proportion of sales in order to place their items in the exhibition. Why not hold it at the Centre?
F – Fashion Show / Frock Swap / Fancy Dress Day
Why not hold a fashion show or frock swap with your friends at The Pennoyer Centre and all leave with a new outfit? You could even encourage children to dress up as well known historical figures and learn about the history of The Pennoyer Centre and local area at the same time!
G – Giving
Whether you are donating money or your time, your support for The Pennoyer Centre will ensure it continues to servive the local community now and in the future.
H – One Hundred Club
Join our One Hundred Club lottery draw for £12 per year. Half the proceeds support Pennoyers and membership gives you the chance to get your hands on some great cash prizes – it’s a win win!
I – Indulgence
Are you long overdue some indulgence? Why not get a group of friends together for a pamper evening? Give each other face masks, mini-massages or paint nails and donate the money you would have paid for your treatments.
J – Jumble Sale
Whether you’re planning a car boot or selling items online via Ebay, why not choose to donate the proceeds to support your community?
K – Karaoke
Do you have the voice of an angel? Even if you don’t, challenge your friends and family to sing their hearts out, either in person or online. Encourage them to donate to take part (those who don’t sing should donate more to watch!)

After you have made provision for your nearest and dearest, discover how leaving a gift in your will to The Pennoyer Centre could make a lasting difference.

N – Nature – Dawn Chorus
This may be something you have never taken the time to discover before. Enjoy finding out about the magic of the Spring Dawn Chorus in early May. Our local expert offers a guided walk followed by a hearty breakfast while raising money for The Pennoyer Centre.
O – Open Garden
If your garden is a secret oasis or your greenhouse is full of seedlings, opening your garden and selling plants can be a great way to connect with neighbours. Why not offer your garden to be part of the Pulham St Mary Bi-annual Open Garden Weekend? Cream tea or a raffle could be the icing on the cake!
P – Pub Night
Evening Inn is a regular opportunity to go to your ‘local pub’ at The Pennoyer Centre. On the first Friday of each month you can help with our fundraising and meet up with friends and family to enjoy local ales, a range of spirits and wines.
Q – Quiz Night
Come along to our monthly quiz night – a great way to get those cogs whirring and enjoy a fun evening in good company. Are you a budding quiz master? We always need someone who is willing to run the quiz and make an entertaining evening for all.
R – Raffle
Collect prizes from local companies or even unwanted gifts and put them to good use by donating a raffle prize n aid of The Pennoyer Centre. This is great fundraiser to raise extra money for Pennoyers.
S – Sponsorship
Is there an exciting sports event or red-letter day approaching? Why not hold a sweepstake and see if your friends and colleagues can predict the outcome.
T – Treasure Hunt
Whether this is seasonally themed such as an Easter Egg Hunt or Halloween Trail, or involves painted hidden pebbles, the opportunities are endless to get creative with your community and see how many people can guess the clues to find the treasure!
U – Upcycle
Create something new from something old. Whether you re-fashion a preloved item of clothing or transform a piece of furniture, you might be surprised how much you could raise for a good cause!
V – Volunteering
Join our team of gardening volunteers who meet on a Monday afternoon. Not green-fingered? No problem – we offer many other volunteering opportunities
W – Walk
Why not map out a route and encourage others to join you on a sponsored walk. Find your way back to The Café @ Pennoyers where you can reward yourself with a delicious home-made scone and a hot drink!
X – Xmas
This one is fairly self-explanatory — donate to wear your most hideous Christmas jumper to work, a club you attend or simply out in public, and kick off the festive season!
Y – Yogathon
This is essentially a marathon for yogis. Do you take part in a yoga class? Why not team up with your teacher and see whether there is an appetite for a challenge!
Z – Zumbathon
A Zumbathon is an extended Zumba class where lots of people can join in — Zumba is its own special brand of dance fitness workout. Haven’t tried it? Why not come along to one of the classes held at The Pennoyer Centre.
