Why support The Pennoyer Centre?
The Pennoyer Centre is a charity run to serve the community and preserve local heritage. We need your help to keep the Centre running and ensure it stands the test of time for everyone to enjoy.
Perhaps you have visited our museum, joined us for a coffee in our café, taken part in one of our vibrant clubs or attended one of our family events.
There are many reasons you may consider making a donation to The Pennoyer Centre, including:
- Helping us run more social events to bring people of all ages together. For example our lunch clubs, knit and natter groups, and activities to engage school children and their families.
- Supporting the public to ensure we can run our outreach initiatives. For example welcoming those who may be older or isolated for a warm meal and friendship. These activities foster connections, expand support networks and forge a sense of community.
- Running sessions to help people develop new interests and learn new skills to build confidence and self-esteem whilst broadening horizons.
- Championing local artists through helping us stage events such as painting exhibitions and musical performances. Continuing to maintain our role as a thriving small arts venue.
- Celebrating and preserving our local heritage. Our interesting history includes: the Medieval Guild Chapel which dates back to the 15th century, the history of Pennoyer’s Free School established in the 17th century and our archive of airship memorabilia commemorating RNAS Pulham and its airships which patrolled the North Sea searching for U-boats.
